Maria Lesieutre was introduced to the field of prosthetics and orthotics as an undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University. Through her undergraduate research working with people with spinal cord injuries, she began spending time at the prosthetics and orthotics department at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veteran's Administration Hospital. She attended graduate school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medial Center. She then completed both her orthotic and prosthetic residencies at the University of California San Francisco. Maria currently works with lower extremity prosthetic and orthotic patients.
